Accomplished Black men are dying inside and some are taking their own lives.
We are in the midst of a loneliness epidemic that's killing our Accomplished Black Men, and I'm on an impossible mission to end it through deep connection and creating a sense of belonging.
I'm creating this space for myself because I want to be with other accomplished brothers who know the struggles and still choose to thrive.
10 Sessions. 10 Chapters. 10 Truths We Rarely Say Out Loud.
Each week, we'll discuss a chapter from my book The Loneliness of the Accomplished Black Man - the thoughts you have but never voice.
This isn't group therapy. This is accomplished Black men finally having the space we've never had.
This space is for accomplished Black men only.

Who is Shermain Melton?
Success multiplied my loneliness.
I'm black, accomplished, gay, and Christian, and for most of my life, I thought God had played a trick on me. He gave me a big heart to love others and the experience of being rejected by the church for owning my truth. I've lost relationships and business for owning my truth.
I rose out of a childhood of poverty, gunshots, and drug dealers to become a debt-free, self-made millionaire. I have survivor's guilt because not all my friends made it out.
At age 20, I became General Manager of an underperforming Pizza Hut restaurant and turned it around with my team of 40. I walked away from a lucrative technology career at American Express during the pandemic to run my coaching practice full-time because I wanted a bigger challenge and impact.
I know the loneliness of taking big risks and being rejected.
I know the loneliness of choosing the harder path on purpose.
I know the loneliness of being accomplished and still underestimated.
I'm showing up fully and looking for brothers who want to do the same. This isn't about surface connections. This is about depth of belonging and growth.
